Rental E-Toll Tag
All Carnet Rentals vehicles are fitted with an electronic tag, allowing you to pay your tolls automatically.
Travel on any toll road in Australia
$3.30 daily service fee1 if you pay for your vehicle by credit card
You will only be charged the daily service fee for the days you use toll roads
All vehicles are fitted with an electronic tag
When you pick up your vehicle you are set to drive on any toll road in Australia. At the toll collection point you may drive through any lane marked with an 'E' or 'e'. Your tag will beep and automatically record the toll on your account.
Each rental vehicle is individually identified for travel on all Australian toll roads and usage is calculated based on the start and end times in your rental agreement.
You should only use the electronic tag that is fitted in your Carnet Rentals vehicle. If you do bring along your own tag, request a foil bag from your rental company to put your own tag in, to avoid being charged twice.
Check your charges online
You can check all fees and toll charges online. To access this information you will need your rental document number and the driver's surname. Check your charges.
Paying your account
Your toll payments will be charged back to you by the same payment collection method you have chosen to pay for your rental vehicle.
If you paid for your vehicle by credit card, you will be charged a $3.30 daily service fee for the days you travel on a toll road, plus the applicable toll charges. Once you have completed your journey the relevant charges will be charged to your credit card2.
