SCAM EMAILS TARGET TOLLING CUSTOMERS

Roads and Maritime Services advises customers to beware of scam emails which incorrectly state they are from Roads and Maritime Services tolling.

The emails are designed to appear as a legitimate e-toll communication.

They entice the recipient to open a zip file and click on links to provide personal details.

Roads and Maritime is working with NSW Police and authorities to identify those responsible for the scam.

Testing of New Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel Tolling Gantries from Wednesday 24th August 2016

Roads and Maritime Services is installing four new Tolling gantries on the northern side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel to cater for future demand, ensure ongoing reliability of the technology and to improve traffic flow.

Testing of the new Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel Tolling gantries starts on Wednesday 24th August 2016 and is expected to continue until the end of the year.

Motorists may hear a beep however no charges will apply during the testing of the new equipment.

Tolls will continue to be charged as normal at the northern end of the Cahill Expressway and at the southern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for the Bradfield Highway.

There will be no change to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel tolls when the new technology is implemented.
